Vegetarian Healthy Diet

Being a vegetarian can be a fantastic and fulfilling diet choice but it is imperative that you are consuming a healthy vegetarian diet. This is especially important if you are transitioning from eating meat, just as my husband and I did last year.

Vegetarian diets are so popular, not just because they sound healthy but because they actually are! There are a host of benefits such as lowering the risks of type2 diabetes, cancer of the colon, stomach, mouth and getting that lean body is more achievable. Not forgetting the benefits you can actually detect, like feeling lighter, less bloated and closer to that lean body.

If there is anything researchers are going to bicker about it is most definitely not the life expectancy of vegetarians in comparison to meat eaters as studies have always proved that vegetarians live the longest.

To ensure you are have the best vegetarian healthy diet, make sure to include the right amount of: fat, protein, zinc, iron, calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B12, Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Iodine. Without these you risk actually having a less healthy diet.
